TAIPEI, June 2, 2014 — Leading ICT manufacturing company, MiTAC International Corp. (MiTAC), a subsidiary of MiTAC Holdings Corporation (TWSE:3706) will unveil its new wellness solution based on wearable technology – MiWELL – at Computex 2014.
Today’s busy lifestyle can often feel like an endless stream of work pressure, tension, fatigue and anxiety. Stress and lack of exercise can result in a myriad of health problems, from headaches and stiff necks to insomnia and hypertension. MiTAC MiWELL wearable solution helps balance work and life by recording, tracking and analyzing your physiological condition, sleep patterns and exercise.
Industry leading 2-minute ECG detection through NASA EMD technology and precise physical health index analysis, MiWELL not only measure heart rate, but also track physiological age, stress, energy and the balance of the autonomic nervous system. ECG analysis and health indexes have been verified through consultation with cardiology and psychiatry professionals, as well as collaboration with medical professors and research teams from top universities in Taiwan and abroad. MiWELL also provides breathing training to reduce stress and recover energy recovery via smartphone app.
When integrating the MiWELL solution into daily life, you will be greeted when you wake each morning with a sleep quality monitoring report. While commuting to the office, all activity is tracked, including step count, elevation, distance, calories consumed and burned, time and pace. During work hours, the stress and health index will remind you to relax and revitalize your energy through guided breathing exercises. After work, MiWELL is still there to remind you of your achievements and progress toward your daily goals. In addition, MiWELL is ready to connect with cloud services for social networking, analysis and other services.
MiWELL will offer two types of wearable solutions — a wristband with smartphone application and standalone watch.
