UPC Technology Corporation (UPC) was founded in 1976 as a petrochemical product producer. Over the past 40 years, UPC has been maintaining a steady and rapid growth along with the overall economic development and gradual shift of emerging markets. To this day, UPC has built manufacturing and logistics centers in five locations: Taiwan and Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Zhenjiang and Taizhou in China. With these locations, UPC has become the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of phthalic anhydride (PA) and plasticizers, commanding over 30% of the Chinese market.

In addition to continuously focusing on the core chemicals business, UPC supports the development of specialty chemicals, warehousing, trade, and logistics businesses. This operation model integrating the synergy of the internal resources, including economy of scale, economy of scope and product differentiation, with external alliances is what builds up the core competitiveness of UPC. 2019	UPCM Trading (Vietnam) Co. Ltd. was established. UPCM Trading (Thailand) Co. Ltd. was established.
2017	Representative Office of UPC Chemicals (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Bangkok was established. Representative Office of UPC Chemicals (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Ho Chi Minh City was established.
2016	Acquired 40,000 MT/y PA plant and 100,000 MT/y plasticizer plant, located in Gebeng Petrochemical Park in Malaysia, from BASF Petronas Chemicals Sdn. Bhd.
2015	The bio-succinic acid based plasticizer product received “2015 Taiwan Chemical Technology Industry Product Innovation Award”. First publication of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) report.
2014	Sichung Logistics Co., Ltd. was established.
2013	UPC Chemicals (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. was established. Nanchong Unicizers Industrial Co., Ltd. was established. Panjin Union Materials Industry Co., Ltd. was established. Established UPC Research and Development Center and approved by Ministry of Economic Affairs.
2012	Panjin Union Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. was established. Panjin Union Logistics Co., Ltd. was established. Zhenjiang Momentive Union Specialty Chemicals Co., Ltd. was established.
2011	Jiangsu Union Logistics Co., Ltd. was established. Guangdong Union Logistics Co., Ltd. was established. Taizhou Union Plastic Products Co., Ltd. was established.
2010	Completed private placement of 150,000,000 ordinary shares
2009	The board of directors resolves to combine Union Material Technology Corporation (100% of holding by UPC)
2008	Taizhou Union Logistics Co., Ltd. was established. Taizhou Union Plastics Industry Co., Ltd. was established.
2007	Taizhou Union Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. was established.
2006	Zhongshan Union Chain Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. was established.
2005	Zhongshan Union Trading Co., Ltd. was established. Macao Union Trading Co., Ltd. was established. Taiwan Union International Investment Corp. became wholly owned by UPC.
2002	UPC merge GUCC which is 100% owned by UPC. Zhuhai Unicizers Industry Co., Ltd. was established. Zhenjiang Union Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. was established.
2001	Union Material Technology Corp. was established. Union Petrochemical Corp. changed name to UPC Technology Corp.
2000	Catac Electronic (ZS) Co., Ltd. was established. Zhongshan New Union Chemical Co., Ltd. (ZNUC) was established.
1998	Ashland Union Electronic Chemical Corp. (AUECC) was established.
1997	Joint venture with USI Group to complete the Merger and Acquisition of CGPC Group to own the shares of Asia Polymer Corp., Taita Chemical Company, Ltd., China General Plastic Corp., Taiwan VCM Corp. and China General Terminal & Distribution Corp. Union (Zhongshan) Co., Ltd. was established. Zhongshan Unicizers Industrial Co., Ltd. was established. Linyuan plant was awarded ISO-14001 Certification.
1995	Shanghai Union Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. was established. Union Venture Capital Corp. was established
1994	Linyuan plant was awarded ISO-9002 Certification.
1992	Union Hong Kong Petrochemicals Co., Ltd. was established
1990	Established GUCC (current Linhai plant) to produce Maleic Anhydride( MA).
1989	Union Petrochemical Corp. was publicly listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. UPC Taichung plant was established.
1980	Linyuan plant start commercial production of Plasticizers and Phthalic Anhydride (PA).
